The Services of the German Music Export Office
The German Music Export Office was established in the year 2000 and belongs to the German Rock and Pop Music Association.
Based on the fact that a marked increase in the popularity of German music is becoming evident outside of German-speaking areas in the world, the Export Office has two primary tasks: a) to increase consumer awareness abroad of the German music industry, its composers, writers and performers; and, b) to augment the worldwide marketing and distribution of German music media.
The Export Office accomplishes its tasks by providing numerous services to the German music industry as well as to German-music-interested parties abroad:

· Dissemination of information related to German music events abroad
· Dissemination of information about the German music market
· Provision of international contact information
· Personalized answers to international-specific inquiries
· Opportunity to order German music directly at source

· Assistance with the international promotion for new as well as established artistes
· Assistance with the international dissemination of publications and press releases
· Consultation on the opening up of new markets
· Provision of international contact information
· Collection and redirection of international-specific inquiries
· Collection and dissemination of information related to international music markets
· Uniform and systematic presentations abroad of the German music scene
· Joint advertising campaigns and information booths at fairs
